Sorry folks but we've been robbed! The new millennium did not start on January 1, 2000. The new millenium starts on January 1, 2001.

I believe with all the hype over the Y2K issues, someone somewhere called it the Millennium Bug. This caused many people to start counting at zero instead of one. There never was a year 0.
